Excellent location, right across the main Atocha train station, perfect for connections to Andalusia. We opted to stay overnight after our long haul flight before we caught our train to Cordoba the following day. Friendly welcome from the staff. Our room on Level 5 was comfortable, it overlooked the road and had a big window facing the station but we heard no traffic noise whatsoever. Very effective block out curtains meant we had a restful sleep. Free wifi and good water supply, just what we needed. The National anthropological museum was right next door so we popped in to pass the time before dinner then walked to the other side of the station to grab quick bite at a cafe on C. Delicias. Too easy! Breakfast at the hotel the next morning was typical hotel spread: lots of choices of fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses and cold meat. Ample and satisfying. This is a great stopover hotel for easy train connections in Spain. Highly recommended for first timers.

Excellent location across the street from the train station and next to metro stop. Superb front desk help; since we arrived at the hotel after a 8hr flight at 9am, way before the 3pm regular check in, Luis arranged for early checkin in the first available room, made sure the room was cleaned promptly and ready for us by 9:30, so we could rest. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of cold cuts, cheeses, fruits and pastries. See Aura from the breakfast staff was very welcoming, efficient and a wealth of local information for us. Clean and functional hotel room, with good sound insulation and great mattress. We slept with the heating turned off and window partially open, which was perfect in early January (7th floor room). All in all it was perfect for a two day stay in Madrid.

Great, efficiently run, no-fuss hotel, but still with enough of a personal touch. I really like the NH hotel chain. Consistently high quality, spacious rooms (I had a superior), well kitted out (kettle, fridge, bottled water, Nespresso machine with coffee pods, tea bags, milk, etc), bathtub as well as big rain shower in bathroom, very comfy bed and pillows, temperature perfect, windows that opened to let in fresh air. Staff efficient and friendly. Nice area, very handy for Atocha, Retiro. Will happily store your luggage if you arrive early or want to go off and do something on the checkout day.

We took a night flight and arrived in Madrid early in the morning. Took the train from the airport direct to Atocha Station in about 30 minutes then walked across the street and arrived at the hotel in less than 5 minutes. The staff at the reception was very helpful and let us check in the room early so that we can rest for some time before starting to explore the city. Room is small but comfortable and had almost everything we need including slippers, coffee machine, electric kettle.

Flora

The room was quite clean with a nice modern bath (shower). Beds had lovely sheets, good pillows and were quite comfortable. Fridge in the room was helpful, and the bath had lots of nice amenities like robes and slippers, toiletries, even a disposable hairbrush!! Lots of hot water and good water pressure. Not a luxury hotel, but we had all the essentials, plus a good location, convenient to Retiro Park, the Prado museum and the Atocha train station.
